Research, evaluation, and training for organizations that need answers they can use.
MK Research LLC is my independent practice. I work with cities, agencies, nonprofits, universities, and law firms, in criminal justice and well outside it. Most projects start the same way: someone has data they cannot fully use, a program they need to know is working, or a team that needs to learn how to answer its own questions. I design the study, run the analysis, testify when a case calls for it, and train the people who will keep the work going after I leave.

* In keeping with my affiliation with Justice System Partners, all engagements in the criminal-justice space, across expert witness, evaluation, research, training, and technical assistance, are first screened for actual or perceived conflicts of interest with JSP's active portfolio. Matters that are a stronger fit for JSP are referred there; my independent practice focuses on smaller, grassroots engagements.
